Dear Fellow Craftsman:

If you would like to learn to engrave or if you would like to advance your skill as an engraver, Johny Weyerts can help you. His five day, forty hour course, starts beginners out right and eliminates lots of trial and error thus minimizing the learning curve.

Johny engraves on a full time basis at his studio in Alpine, Texas. He engraves firearms and silver, two related, but different engraving skills. He has created silver mounted leather pieces and custom engraved guns for Larry Hagman, Johnny Cash, Brad Johnson, Tom Selleck, Al Micallef and others who readily admire his work. Johny accepts many important commissions each year. One of his favorites was a 30/30 Winchester done for the Cowboy Poetry Committee for the Trappings of Texas. A two page spread in full color of this work is featured in Tom Turpin's new book, "Custom Firearms Engraving". "Rifle" magazine featured a custom rifle engraved by Johny in the May 1997 issue.

Johny Weyerts School of Engraving has been operating successfully in Alpine since 1996, and is an authorized GRS dealer. Johny has over 35 years of teaching experience.

Johny furnishes the GRS equipment and tools during five day workshops which he teaches at his school in Alpine, Texas. His classes are limited to five students providing you with a great learning opportunity with lots of personal attention.
